With RCBs win against GT, the neck to neck fight for Playoff is closed a bit. PBKS & SRH loose their chance to enter into Playoffs.
With just 3 more matches to go, there is a tough fight among 3 teams now.
Here is an illustration of most probable situation. As I mention, it is most probable, but not limited only to these scenarios.

It is most like a must win for DC against MI. Otherwise RCB will get its reservation confirmed.

The points table is not that competitive now. It is narrowed down to RCB & DC from here on. Again the Net run rate can play a role but it is merely less possibility for that unless RR loses to CSK with a huge margin.
The only negative point for RCB is the net run rate. In case DC win their next game, then RCB will lose its 4th spot & DC move up the points table. So, Saturday match is going to be the decided for DC & RCB.
Its been a very tough next to neck fight for many teams until RCB recorded their win against GT in their last league match.
IPL Next Matches
- RR Vs CSK – May 20 (Friday):
- MI Vs DC – May 21 (Saturday):
- SRH Vs PBKS – Mar 22 (Sunday):
Over all, RR & DC has to win their matches to be in good position to move to playoffs.
RR even if they lose the match, they should take care that their run rate does not fall.
Where as DC has to win their match. They already have good run rate. So, if they win, it is likely that RCB might miss playoff.
So, it is most likely the Saturday match between MI & DC is going to decide that 4th slot for the IPL 2022 Playoffs teams.
